From The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield--there's a great description of a minor character (the doctor's wife) in the book. It goes like this (page 104):
"The doctor's wife wasn't a bad woman. To clarify, today is the anniversary of the first kiss. For some reason the date has stuck with us for all these years. Later this month we'll be celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary.
And thanks, Jessica. Fortunately my 10% contribution to the "beautiful" aspect of this couple doesn't take away from Stacy's 90%.
