Em, I guess I should've said use the computer less. I love blogging and emailing, but would like to limit my use otherwise and enjoy the non-technical world around me more. :P

Mark, GMTA. Awesome list. :)

I think the best part of this post was "I love choosing not to resist these." Choosing not to resist may be my motto for 2011. - Twenty eleven. :) Great post.

P.S. Vivian, how was the high school reunion? Mark and I are trying to figure out if we even want to go to ours.

I *absolutley* think you should at least go to Mark's reunion. (That would mean you'd come here:) But seriouly, I really did enjoy it. The mean girls were nicer and the popular girls actually talked to me. It was fun sharing memories even though everyone remembered the same incident differently--even that was a hoot. It was great to reconnect with friends I haven't talked to for years. I know people today do a lot of facebook, email, check each others blogs, etc, but there is nothing like a real, live visit. Do it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. If we go to our reunions, it would be to see old friends--that part sounds nice. I don't care about the popular kids having changed or anything like that (part of why Facebook does nothing for me, I guess), but seeing old friends? That's always neat. So, maybe. Had you stayed in touch with many of them? I've kept in touch with a small handful and that's been nice, too. Mostly the same ones I was close to back then. I also keep in touch with a favorite teacher.

We'll see (and keep you posted, of course). The biggest obstacle for us is, and always has been, cost. We almost weren't able to swing the reunion for the same reason--we really had to finagle that one and we learned a lot from that trip. And that was just this past year, so the "sting" is pretty fresh. Totally worth it (we had a great time and got to see everyone), but it was huge for us to do that and it's difficult to imagine doing it again anytime soon. Who knows. I do know that Mike King, Steve Moretti, and Mark are talking about an East Coast reunion (all 3 are on the East Coast). In fact, Mike is only a couple of hours from here, so hopefully we do something with them soon.

Anyway, glad you had fun at yours. Had no idea you'd even gone to it. High school reunions are on my mind since I incorporated one into my novel this year. It was the scene of a big, climatic, and ugly confrontation! Didn't see that coming until I was writing it.

Oh, one more question -- how did you find out about yours? I think a lot of them are being announced on Facebook, but I wonder how they reach people otherwise.
