It's like a heatwave!

Triple-digit temperatures. IT IS HOT.

I know my previous post says I love summertime (and I really do), but when it's this hot and one of our window A/C units breaks (our bedroom), our kitchen is 90 degrees (no A/C in there), and our living room window A/C is cranked on high and yet it's 80 degrees in here . . . heat exhaustion sets in and you feel a little sick to your stomach.

We're drinking lots of water and trying to stay cool, but WOWZA. I'm a little light headed and nauseous right now. We're about to eat dinner and I think we'll eat in the living room since it's 80 in here and 90 in the kitchen. Word.

I'm soooooo grateful we at least have electricity at all. I know many south of us aren't so lucky. We don't have a garage or covered parking, so the cars get really hot, especially Mark's car, because it has no tinted windows. Thank goodness we caved and fixed the A/C in his car this past year after 8 years without it.

Anyway, it's not like a heatwave. It IS a heatwave. Hope everyone is staying cool!

And thank YOU for looking into fixing the car's A/C. I'd be seriously melting every day otherwise. And thank you also for getting that song into my head. Lovely.

Are you hearing music and voices? I think heat-induced delirium has set in.

It is ridiculously hot here, too - record breaking day after day after day! At least our AC is working well. Sounds like you need an impromptu trip to the beach!! :)

It's like that here too. Last summer the highest we got was about 90*. Here it's been 97, 98, 99 every single day. With how high up we are (nearly 7000 feet) and the intense sun here, it's KILLING me. We have a small window unit in the family room but I am hot--SWEATY--all the time. I can't sleep, I don't want to eat, it's just awful. I love the summertime, but I'm coming to realize that I only love the summer when I have air conditioning. It's about 85-90 in the house all day long.

We normally try to not use our AC...but this year seems like the AC is not getting a break! Try to stay cool....

We have air conditioning. Come on over.

Our a/c is on the fritz as well, so we're hearing your pain. Sounds like it's time to hit the pool. How about it?

Ugh, Emily. That sounds miserable, too.

Terrie, so true! Thankfully we didn't have to heat the house much this past winter, but boy are we having to cool it down this summer!

We totally have been hitting the pool.

Dave? You're on.

One hot summer plus a broken AC is definitely not a nice combination! Though it's good that you were able to bear the heat and stay cool the whole season. You could also get a fan, just in case your AC conks out on you unexpectedly again. Anyway, thanks for sharing!
