THING 2 - I don't know.

THING 2 - When I'm scared, he comes up and helps and that makes me feel not scared.

THING 2 - We don't like all the same things.
THING 1 - He's a boy and I'm a girl.

THING 2 - He shows it through hugs, words, and actions.
