I just sat down to work on my novel,
so of course I'm writing a blog post first.
I am a HIGHLY distracted person.
*************
Since writing that thought,
I have written 2 texts,
taken a picture of Scout,
and charged a battery.
*************
Jerry Sandusky has an autobiography called "Touched."
How is that scumbag not in jail?
Did you know that he and his wife adopted 6 children
and took in several foster children?
Bastard.
*************
Loving X-Factor.
Great, great show.
I feel like I'm at a great concert every week.
The Magic Violinist did a great review of it on her blog.
*************
I am so excited for Modern Family
(simple pleasures).
I was so disappointed that the CMAs preempted it this past week,
so I am REALLY excited about this week.
*************
NaNoWriMo is in full swing here.
Mark and I are hoping to break 30K words tonight.
The kids are both way more than half way to their goals.
*************
I like boy jeans SO much better than girl jeans.
*************
Overheard at a hair salon today:
"I don't like vampires either.
I only like Twilight vampires, because they're sparkly."
What?!
Just more reasons for me not to read it.
*************
I'm writing a novel with Mark.
At it evolves, we're noticing that it is
basically asking the question:
Would you rather happily live a lie of which you are unaware,
or would you want to know the truth, even if it would hurt?
*************
It's not all heavy, though.
We have some hilarious scenes.
One of our characters is patterned after Jennifer Coolidge
in this guest appearance on Friends.
*************
Our dog has separation anxiety.
Oh, and she's also racist.
It makes me think of this song every time we talk about it.
(And then I get nostalgic for my teenage years).
*************
Every November, we put up a big sheet of paper
and place a box of crayons nearby.
It's our "Gratitude" Door.
I love this tradition!
*************
I think it TOTALLY sucks for workers
that Black Friday has bumped up even more
to the point that it starts on Thursday at 10pm.
Um, THURSDAY is Thanksgiving.
Oh yeah, and it's not a FRIDAY!!
*************
I've sent more texts,
checked the clinic,
read stuff online,
and checked email
since writing that 2nd thought.
I think I'll write my story now . . .

"I've never had any professional dance training." Love that line. And our racist dog. Now get back to work! ;)
You have your laptop there?!? I'M BUSTED!
And I WAS working on our novel, thank you very much, until you commented and, therefore, distracted me again.
I just got it going and wasn't surprised in the least to see a distracted blog post. ;) One of the many things I love about you. And I already thought of the fact that I continue to distract you with blog comments that end up in your email. Plus your Gmail Notifier will pop up to alert you to my ongoing distractions.
I think it's funny that we keep communicating via comments instead of Instant Message, since we're both online. Ooh! We should totally do that!
You have to give it a chance, Stacy. I'll read anything you recommend if you'll just read the first Twilight book. It is completely ridiculous and vampires are stupid, but seriously, just give it a chance.
Have you watched Happy Endings yet? Oh my gosh, it is so funny. Wednesday night is my new favorite TV night.
I used to wear boy jeans in middle school, I loved them.
Truth. Always truth.
I hate black Friday. HATE IT. It totally ruins Thanksgiving.
Hmmm,...I actually was thinking to stay happy and not know about the lie...but I guess it would depend on what the lie was?? I am so sick to my stomach about the Sandusky freak!! Anyway, talk to you soon. And I will update my blog :)
I MUST read this book when you guys are done. Reading about your book is a great distraction from writing mine. And now I'm distracting you with my comment which will trigger your notifier. Then you'll have to come here and comment. And I will no doubt respond. CIRCLE OF LIFE!!!/Elton John
Also, that TMBG song has the hugest, nastiest bass line ever. Awesome.
I tried reading the first Twilight book. I skipped to the end to got the gist of it:(spoiler alert: Having a boyfriend is REALLY REALLY important. Also man nipples. No thanks).
Happily live a lie if I was unaware. Not sure it's even a "lie" if you're really unaware.
Keep up the good fight. Don't give in to Twilight. I haven't read the book, watched the first movie. It's every bit as stupid as it sounds.
LOL! Love the arguing pro-con Twilight comments. So funny.
Saw Happy Endings once a while back. I love the blonde actress in that show (she's one of our favorites from "Freaks and Geeks"). But we haven't kept up with Happy Endings. We do watch Suburgatory, though.
I'm LOVING my boy jeans. LOVING. So comfortable. And sexy, too. ;)
Excellent comments on the truth/lie thing, too. Yes, technically, you're not living a lie if you're unaware -- more like unknowingly living with a liar.
ROTFL, Dave.
