That's Us. A Little Highbrow. A Little Mundane.
From The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield--there's a great description of a minor character (the doctor's wife) in the book. It goes like this (page 104):
"The doctor's wife wasn't a bad woman. She was sufficiently convinced of her own importance to believe that God actually did watch everything she did and listen to everything she said, and she was too taken up with rooting out the pride she was prone to feeling in her own holiness to notice any other failings she might have had. She was a do-gooder, which means that all the ill she did, she did without realizing it."

Very cool! That is really great. Congrats.
Very cool. I also want to know how you found out.
I posted a comment for you over there :)

Thanks, guys!
I saw the link in my statcounter and wondered what it was, so I went over and saw it. I actually found it a couple of weeks ago, but I haven't been at the computer much so it took me a while to post it! :P
April, I'm trying to find your comment but I don't see it?
See? We told you it was all kinds of awesome. But, what, no prize? Though maybe the small stroke to your ego is prize enough? :)
Way to go, that's so cool! :)
Thanks, Robynne. :)
lbs, it is a nice stroke to my ego. And yes, that's prize enough. (Not that I'd turn down a chance to be published and win some cash for it).
