Lunch Today

We ate lunch from our garden today! We're enjoying DELICIOUS salad (one of my favorite garden vegetables is lettuce--mmmmmm!) with divine grape tomatoes and juicy cucumbers and crisp snap peas. And, everything tastes SO MUCH BETTER than anything we've ever bought in a grocery store. Amazing! We're so excited!! Our garden has been growing like mad and we're enjoying the literal fruits of our labor and I have to say it's very exciting and VERY delicious!

That is so much better than the Lucky Charms and chocolate chip cookies that I had for breakfast. I LOVE stuff fresh from the garden. =)

When I was little we'd take the lettuce from the garden and put a little sugar on a leaf and then roll it up and eat it. We loved it! Sounds weird to me now but it's funny how those things just stick with you.

I am trying to figure out what we can grow, where and how in our yard here in sunny Arizona. I will let you know if we have any luck.

Your garden is amazing--I've been in awe of the pictures and your posts. To be enjoying the fruits of your labors...how great is that?! Last year we had a pretty good harvest from our tomatoes, hot peppers, and green beans. This year we got a few good side dishes out of our green beans, and the girls and I just ate our only tomato for lunch today. It's been HOT here and we haven't been good about watering. Funny thing how you have to actually WATER the stuff if you want it to grow. Good job you guys!

Thanks, everyone!

All these comments are so fun and make me chuckle. Garden vegetables? As a post? I wondered if it was a boring post but I was excited to share! I used to wonder why people got so excited about their gardens. I get it now! We love it and are very grateful!

Lena, that sounds good--we love trying stuff! Someone has also told me about putting sugar on tomatoes and it's actually pretty good!

Rachelle, are you still in Texas or did you guys move to Utah?
