Cinco de Mayo Fiesta!

So, we hosted a backyard Cinco de Mayo Fiesta yesterday and it was so much fun!! It feels like one of our first official homeowner dinner hostings and omigosh, we could get used to this! We really enjoy hosting! It's taken us a while to feel settled and up for doing this with so much going on, but it's really coming together! Everyone had so much fun. It was GREAT! And what a spread of food!! We got tons of "Fiesta" serving plates and even put on Latin music.

The Ratcliffes came and their nephew and his wife and daughter, our next-door neighbors (the pastor and his wife of the church across the street on the corner), and Peggy and her family came later. Everyone brought something and it went really, really well--we're so happy! We love our family, our house, our yard, our friends, where we live, homeschooling, our business. We love it! So fun to throw a backyard party like that! I've decided that having lots of people over is easier than having one family at a time, because everyone sort of mills around and entertains one another. It's nice.

Fiesta!

Look at that spread!! I love how colorful it all is!

Shurie couldn't come but provided us with lots of sombreros for the occasion!

Amigos!

The kids' table?

Playing some Bocce Ball

Our little guitar player (hmmm, think Ronald was playing guitar, too? You think?)

The party continued into the night even after dark!

There was a candy scramble, games, and relay races! All courtesy of Ronnie who really got into the theme party (a la Carnival . . . I'm getting to that post).

Then when it got dark and chilly, the party moved inside--games and music downstairs, lots of board games upstairs, lots of fun! Ole!
