That's Us. A Little Highbrow. A Little Mundane.
From The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield--there's a great description of a minor character (the doctor's wife) in the book. It goes like this (page 104):
"The doctor's wife wasn't a bad woman. She was sufficiently convinced of her own importance to believe that God actually did watch everything she did and listen to everything she said, and she was too taken up with rooting out the pride she was prone to feeling in her own holiness to notice any other failings she might have had. She was a do-gooder, which means that all the ill she did, she did without realizing it."

Phew!
Do you have to complain because they missed us too! I actually don't mind getting it in July, an extra bonus if you will. Anyway, I just want to know if I have to contact anyone about it.
that is such a relief. jeremy will be out of town in july for july, he's only getting half of his regular income, and since he'll be gone he can't work and neither can i since i'll be with the kids. so this will help, definitely. thanks for the info!
out of town in july for school, i meant. i need better sleep!
Yeah, We got 1200 expecting 1800. I don't know if you have to let anyone know or if the human who botched it has to go through the 350,000 files to see who gets more in July. I'm so excited about this!
um I don't think you really want to know how much we got. We weren't sure we would get all because on the irs website it said you might get less if you have non-tax federal debt (and specifically listed student loans). but we got the full amount so it was actually a very nice surprise.
