Royal Wedding

We all got up early and just watched it while eating a fairly traditional English breakfast with tea! Because, well, why not? The dress was lovely and they kissed twice on the balcony. So much fun to watch. Yeah, it's a lot of pomp and circumstance and I am not one for fancy hoopla, but it was still fun to watch a bit of history like that and neat to share it with the kids. And it's kind of nice to have something not depressing on the news, too. Best wishes, Will and Kate!

I remember the Space Shuttle launch and Charles and Diana's weddings when I was a kid. I mean I remember when I was a kid I was not going to lose sleep to watch either of those events.

I figured you guys would watch it. I agree, a nice break from news about wars and destruction.

BTW, what kind of tea?

Aww, Jimmy, you're missing out on history! But I suppose you're at least catching some Zs.

Gary, Green Lemon and Irish, fresh from the farmer's market!

Thanks, Robynne!

I made a comment to my mom that the wedding coverage was getting out of control, and she said something similar to what you said. "Wouldn't you rather watch something happy for a change?" I guess so. I saw a bunch of clips online and kind of thought it was funny how stiff and formal they were. When they kissed it was ONLY their lips that touched. Is that weird to notice?! :)

She looked SO NERVOUS while sitting in Westminster Abbey -- her chest was heaving with shallow breaths. Quite the audience for her.

I guess William doesn't like PDA and the balcony kiss was not his favorite part of the day, but I love that they kissed (pecks :P) twice up there. That was quite a crowd pleaser.

two kisses was TOO much for my proper, British roots.
