Fun Friday!

What a lovely day! We've had a nice tour at the local Council on The Arts and learned more about what they offer (LOTS of cool classes and they're so open to ideas and on the lookout for so many NEAT things!) and a fun time at the library playing lots and lots of board games! Whoever says homeschooled kids don't get any socialization is SORELY misinformed:

I'm kicking myself for not taking more pictures. After that, we all grabbed lunch and then our new AWESOME neighbors and friends (also a homeschooling family) came over to our farmhouse and cut our grass for us!! (We don't yet have our own motor lawn mower). I can not say enough nice things about them (our friends, not motor lawn mowers, though I'm sure they're very nice, too). We are VERY grateful for their service--it's been such a bright spot for us. This is the second time since we've bought our farmhouse that friends have done this for us and it really helps us recognize all the more how blessed we are to have such wonderful friends. I love how we all love and help one another--isn't that an ideal world? :)

We also enjoyed playing in the backyard, touring the farmhouse/clinic, touring their house (our new neighbors', not the lawnmowers'--c'mon, keep up), a great summer rainstorm, a beautiful rainbow, and playing and skateboarding at a gorgeous local park with yet more homeschooling friends (we're apparently ubiquitous)!! We LOVE and are grateful for our friends!! SUCH good people. We're thrilled. :)
