Friday - We celebrated Earth Day with our homeschool group at one of our favorite local parks (that is simply gorgeous!) and we had SO much fun and learned a lot! We had a swap table, learned about trash vs. recycling and ways to recycle and resources, we planted seeds, we did some cool matching games, we read some cool stuff, put up some neat displays, etc. It was GREAT! And the weather was unseasonably warm and beautiful! We all got sunburned!! We enjoyed a picnic lunch together and enjoyed playing by the stream, talking, catching turtles, riding skateboards, visiting, etc. And we moved the party to our backyard where the Rats cut our grass and we all played and especially enjoyed having Peggy, Carl, and baby Daniel hang out with us (and later Scott!), and we even threw together an impromptu BBQ with everyone and had DELICIOUS food!! It was so much fun! I had an online session that night and we got stuff together for our Philly trip the next day . . .
These pictures don't do justice to the absolute white and pink and purple BEAUTY that abounds here--spring has sprung! And it's breathtaking!!
Look closely--see the turtles?
Hanging out in our backyard--we have a carriage house/barn and a picnic table!! Omigosh, we love our house and yard!!
