That's Us. A Little Highbrow. A Little Mundane.
From The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield--there's a great description of a minor character (the doctor's wife) in the book. It goes like this (page 104):
"The doctor's wife wasn't a bad woman. She was sufficiently convinced of her own importance to believe that God actually did watch everything she did and listen to everything she said, and she was too taken up with rooting out the pride she was prone to feeling in her own holiness to notice any other failings she might have had. She was a do-gooder, which means that all the ill she did, she did without realizing it."

Very cool! It almost reminds me of San Francisco. But I am sure that San Fran has many more hills. We are coming closer to a decision everyday! So far it is PA, but still not 100%. Thanks for posting those fun pictures! Got me smiling!
looks fun! i can't believe you guys have blossoms and flowers. it's SOOOO COLD and windy here that anything that had a chance to blossom is now dead or blown off.
Omigosh, it's GORGEOUS here!! I'm posting more pictures in a bit . . .
hey, do post more pictures of your fair city! we're looking for places to live. i've always been set on the pacific northwest but i'm open to persuasion... :)
Oh Chandelle, we are totally in love with this area!! Happy to post more pictures!! Can't say enough how much we love it--location, location, location. We're tucked away in such a beautiful area, yet so many big, cool cities are so accessible.
You get all 4 seasons and none of them are harsh. No awful/extreme weather. There's a university in town as well as many colleges in the area. And I think you'd do well career-wise here, too! LOTS of homeschoolers. It is a pretty conservative area, but we liberals tend to find one another and that helps maintain sanity. :P
We could also use a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's closer by. Maybe that's in the works. There are vegetarians here and lots of people in our homeschool group are interested in organic foods and natural living and co-ops and such.
It's small-town America with LOADS of beautiful farm land and so many beautiful trees, plant, flowers, etc. It is so gorgeous here. Absolutely stunning.
How's that for starters?
