We are so excited for today's historic event.
We are part of history.
We voted for this guy!
That's Us. A Little Highbrow. A Little Mundane.
From The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield--there's a great description of a minor character (the doctor's wife) in the book. It goes like this (page 104):
"The doctor's wife wasn't a bad woman. She was sufficiently convinced of her own importance to believe that God actually did watch everything she did and listen to everything she said, and she was too taken up with rooting out the pride she was prone to feeling in her own holiness to notice any other failings she might have had. She was a do-gooder, which means that all the ill she did, she did without realizing it."

We're spending the whole day at school watching the Innauguration. It's pretty neat.
I've been thinking about you all morning, about how excited your household probably is this morning!
Loved the inauguration speech. Love the Obama family.
Funny as it is I've been very excited watching the inauguration today. And I agree with Zelia the speech was very good and I also love the Obama family.
Jessica, very cool! Some schools aren't doing that!!
Emily, that's funny. I've noticed increased activity on our blog. Go figure.
Mom, we do, too. Obviously. :P
Sierra, I'm happy to hear that. Same here. :)
