We really weren't sure what we'd do for New Year's this year given that I wasn't sure how I'd feel after my Dad's memorial service. Fairly last minute, we threw together a New Year's get together with friends and it was nice.
This picture is blatantly to try to show our cool dining room light fixture,
but I don't know that the picture does it justice.

For some reason, I didn't take a picture of the sushi itself (and sashimi), so this is the best picture of the spread. Bonus--you get to see Rebecca try sushi for the first time.
Playing LOTS of games.

Whatever..I know you probably "Spiked" the punch. I love that I do not feel one ounce of guilt eating anything I want from Christmas to New Years!!
I love the picture of the kids right before midnight! They look a little beat. I want to come party over there, if for nothing else but the food...okay, and the friendship! (I've never tried sushi, but I'm not against it. Just against spending large amounts of money on very small fish!)
Isaac stayed up this year and I thought it was going to be awful, but it ended up being fun having him there with us. But Dave and I forgot to kiss I think.
Lindsay, I love holiday eating, too. Yum!
Jessica, isn't that funny? Our kids are total night owls, but yeah, everyone looks tired. I guess it's because from Christmas to New Year's, we pretty much had a terrible schedule and mostly played lots of Wii! Quite happily, I might add. :P (And Jessica, Mark's sushi is THE BEST--please come visit!)
Emily, I'm so glad you guys had fun, too. I was tempted to do that cool Martha Stewart confetti thing from your blog. Such a cute idea!
