Some Announcements

First, a public service announcement:

With the election quickly approaching, you only have a couple weeks to register to vote if you haven't already. And if you're voting absentee, now's the time to get on it.

A couple more important announcements:

The Office starts this week!

Amazing Race starts on Sunday!

Those are about the only 2 TV shows we watch (oh yeah and Idol in January) and we are VERY excited about them both! We've recently rewatched The Office Season Finale from this past season--fabulous! And The Amazing Race is just the best ever reality show. EVER. Yes,
I even like it better than American Idol. Yes, I do.
Shocking to some of you, I know. But it's very true.
We LOVE The Amazing Race!

I'm glad you had me check on the Amazing Race last night. Now I'm excited we've got that to look forward to. And I can't wait for "The Office." Watching last season's finale just got me more excited for it.

Hey Stacy! Got your message and YES we have a mini gas shortage on here, which is made substantially worse by our local media (Chicken Littles) reporting on it EVERY NIGHT live from various local gas stations....). They tell people "We have a gas shortage... but please don't panic!" Well, of course, everyone does.... one station yesterday had lines over an hour and a half long! (Luckily I work from home so it's a non-issue for me, but it's a BIG issues for a lot of people!!)

Our country HAS to break the choke-hold that oil has on us. It's a big problem and it's only going to get worse.

VOTE, PEOPLE, VOTE!!!!

btw - the Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins finally opened! I am SOOOO tempted to go in there and ask for sample after sample after sample.... I just might do it and bring my friend Dawn to videotape the "outcome". :-)

I'm SO excited for The Office! Over the last few weeks Greg has rewatched all of seasons 1-3. (I'm the mean wife that wouldn't let him buy season 4 yet!) Fun Stuff!

Side Note: I have a student who wants to read some gothic novels and I was trying to find that old post that you did about it. I figured I should go to the proper "Gothic Novel Authority!" Can you link me to that post or give me a list. Thanks!

The Office has quite regularly the highlight of my week in the past. I missed re-watching last season's finale this past Thursday (I wasn't home and you know our TV story...no cable, no dish, no TiVo or DVR or DVC or RVD--whatever all that stuff means. All I know is I can't record stuff.) so Jared re-told it to me and it was just as funny as if I had watched it. I love how Kevin is so special. I hope Jim and Pam don't get married (I think).

Stand up and cheer for The Office!!

In my previous comment, I MEANT for my opening sentence to say,

The Office has quite regularly BEEN the highlight of my week in the past.

(Instead of deleting and re-posting I figured I'd just apologize for the missing word instead.)

Missing words drive nuts, however am very tolerant run-on sentences.

You'd think I didn't have one child waiting for help with her homework, another waiting for her piano lesson, and another one due to wake up from a nap and demand to be fed any minute now. Nope. I'd rather just comment on your blog.

I'm registered! I'm voting!

The Office--yesssss! Stop by my place tomorrow for a special Office related giveaway!

I've watched about 3 seasons of the amazing race. It's very fun, although, I often find myself screaming at the television "It's over there! No, don't do that! Stop being so mean to your friend/spouse/parent!" You know it's good television when you want to jump in there and slap 'em around. :)

Wow, a lot of Office fans AND a lot of Amazing Race fans! I love both those shows.

We watch AR with the kids (the next day) and it's actually pretty educational when they're not cussing each other out (and don't you love that they subtitle that stuff to make sure you hear every insult?). If I remember correctly, we didn't fast forward well enough one time and K asked something like, "What's a b%$%$?" Lovely. Oh well, it's not a bad way to learn the lesson that some people in life just get grumpy and aren't always nice. Besides, I figure it makes our kids appreciate us more since we don't seem nearly as crazy compared to some of those teams. :P Healthy parenting at its best.

HWHL, I hear you on the media over hyping things! I'm so annoyed with the economy right now. But that's another vent for another post. :) And I would LOVE a video run down of your visit to BR and the sampling!!

Jessica, I'll be happy to help with that--here's the link.

Rachelle, check YouTube for clips--there are some good clips there about Kevin being special. Absolutely hysterical! (By the way, we have SUPER basic cable--like 15 channels-- for about 10 bucks/month and our TiVo recording is about $8/month, so there are cheaper ways to do it than satellite or full cable). Why do you hope Jim and Pam won't marry? You mean not yet, right? Like the whole Niles and Daphne thing? Love the suspense! LOVE your comments and hearing what say our blog. ;) Heheheh.

Ooooooh, lbs (I think I'm going to call you that from now on--I like it), I'm intrigued! And yes, the Amazing Race does that to you--a sign of GOOD television. And wholesome. Have I mentioned how wholesome it is?
